First I want to apologize to my customers... I had listed these spurs a few days ago and the "word cops" at ebay stopped my auction because I had the word "not" in my opening title. I guess this is against some new spamming rule that they have. Wish they had just let me know instead of just halting my auction without notice. This was a real pain for both me and my customers causing plenty of confusion for all involved. But my spurs are still probably the rarest pair of spurs on the planet. These spurs will be a real asset to any western bit and spur collection. So if you are looking for a real one-of-a-kind pair to polish off your collection, these are it. Made around 1969 or the early 1970's these are a very rare, one-of-a-kind pair, of double mounted spurs made by the famous Texas bridle bit maker Jim Trammell (not Ricky Trammell). According to the information that I have been able to gleen from other collectors and spur makers that knew Mr. Trammell... Trammell only made a handful of spurs in his life time and he only made these for close family and friends on a special or custom order bases. This pair spurs are built on a E.F. Blanchard style heel-band with forward swinging buttons and a modified Texas Gooseneck shank. Both spurs are stamped Trammell on the inside of both heel-bands. One of a kind since they are sporting 4 historic and famous old time Texas Brands. On the silver side they are mounted with heavy sterling silver with the historic XIT brand and the button on this side is mounted with a sterling silver running 'W' from the sprawling King Ranch in south texas. The silver is engraved with a southern style wheat stock pattern made famous by PM Kelly. The other side of these spurs are mounted in Jewelers Bronze with the famous "four 6's" and the button is mounted with the historic 76 or upsidedown #2. This is the horse brand from the historic Yates Texas Longhorn Ranch. the jewelers bronze side is engraved with a traditional Texas 'wiggle line' pattern Jim Trammell has passed on so he won't be making any more like these, The XIT ranch don't exist any more, and Fayette Yates of Yates Longhorns recently passed away, while this pair of spurs records the rich ranching history of Texas, t won't be any more like these made by Jim Trammell. So don't miss this chance to own a one-of-a-kind pair of spurs. These are real heavy ranch type cowboy spurs and they have been used, they do have some mud and dirt on them and maybe a little of that 'green stuff' that you would find on most ranches, but nothing that won't brush off. They are not broken or cracked and are in very good condition. T is no missing silver or bronze. As with all of my auctions they are being sold as is!!!!
