ANTIQUE TRAVELLING TANTALUS LIQUOR BOX Up for auction, we have an exquisite in near mint condition inlaid French or English decanter set. The front and the top of the box are hinged and once folded open reveal it's pristine contents, consisting of a brass fitted interior, housing a complete set of four matching decanters, complete with stoppers, and twelve matching cordials. All are hand blown and ornately etched. All decanters and glasses have a ground polished pontil. One glass has a repair. The sides of the box fold back for easy access as well. Hand painted decorations on the top and front of box. Please see all pictures for condition and detail. The box is in very good condition, inlaid decoration overall in a multitude of woods. Circa 1860-1880. This is a fabulous opportunity to own such a marvelous piece of history. The key does not work the lock.
