We offer for sale this: Antique Turned Wooden Sugar Bowl in old MustardPaint C1820 West Thetford, VT. It is 6 ½ inches high; 3 3/4 inches high w/o the cover and 3 ½ inches wide at the base. Just a real peach in the Primitives world! After searching a 1782 Vermont farmhouse recently I thought I’d seen it all when I reached back in an old cupboard and pulled out this great little sugar bowl. The fellow who just bought the farm had tucked a bunch of poker chips away in this old beauty! Even after sixty years of chasing old goodies I still get a thrill; wish it was a highboy but I’m happy with this! Made of our native white pine and having no major cracks or chips. It has made its way into the 21 st Century in relative good condition for it age. Oh, yes it has crusty dry old well work mustard paint, probably butter milk as this was normal for this area. Buyer pays actual USPS Priority.
