ANTIQUE STEREOSCOPE STEREOVIEW by UNDERWOOD & UNDERWOOD is offered along with 78 view cards . 10 view cards are older - one dated 1897, one dated 1900, and eight dated 1901. 68 view cards are dated 1978. This Stereoscope is in good condition for such an old piece, with the folding hand-held wood piece intact, as well as the focus slide and all the metal and leather and wood fasteners and parts. T is some wear at the nose piece. Some of the newer view cards are published by Underwood & Underwood, some by Keystone View Co., some by The War Photograph & Exhibition Co., some by Stereo Classic Studios, Inc., some by H. C. White Co., and one by Strohmeyer & Wyman. Of the older view cards, the publishers are William H. Raw, Underwood & Underwood, and Keystone View Co. Two of the older Underwood view cards have French titles on the front with English titles and descriptions on the backs. The subjects of these cards include : Native Americans, Statue of Liberty, Niagara Falls, Jesus, wrecked Battleship 'Maine', Yosemite Valley in California, a wedding, Louvre Gardens in Paris (TINTED), President McKinley, First Born, Paris, Moscow, Booker T.
