This is a well working clock from the 50's. very nicely kept and in great condition. The clock face says UNITED and under that it says Self Starting. I believe the clock face cover is glass and it is not damaged. The Cowboy's Lasso goes around and around constantly. The base is a material that may be plastic. It looks and feels like plastic. My question is that perhaps it is "soy"--probably not. The base appears undamaged. This entire clock is in remarkablely good condition. I bought it on ebay a couple years ago for $125.00. On the face of the clock down near the bottom it says United Clock Corp, Brooklyn N.Y. These clocks were found in Carnival Games and were given as Grand prizes. You had to win a whole bunch of times and keep trading up for a better prize. These clocks were the best prize available. The winning bider will be required to pay for insurance for the amount of the winning bid plus the shipping cost.
Be sure and check out my other similar clock. It is a lighted covered wagon being pulled by 4 horses. The team driver has a whip that can be made to go up and down with its own switch to make it do so. This clock is of the same time period and is also a carnival clock by "United". I'll be listing other cool things too.
