This auction is for an antique UNIVERSAL CAKE MAKER mixer top that has patent dates of 1896 and 1905. It is also marked Landers, Frary & Clark U.S.A. The beaters are of wire with old metal gears and a metal top that would have fit over a container (jar or bowl??). The hand has a wooden black knob that is attached with a screw. It measures approx. 8 1/2" across the top mounting bracket and the beaters are approx.3 3/4" long. It turns freely and is in nice condition except for some surface tarnish a rusty spots on the top. A great old piece that would be a great replacement part or just nice to add to a collection or display. We purchased it from an old estate auciton in Western Pennsylvania.
