UNUSUAL ANTIQUE SCOTTISH AGATE DIRK BROOCH PINThis is a superb brooch with an thistle inset with bloodstone and other agates. I do not know if the faceted stone on the top is a real gemstone or paste. It dates to the late 1800s circa 1900. There is no damage apart from under an eyeglass there is a tiny nibble to the top paste?stone but as you can see by the photos it is not seen unless viewed with a magnifier but I have mentioned it for accuracy. The overall length is 5.3cms.It weighs 4 grams. It is bigger than the small dirk pins but the photos sometimes make items look bigger than they are. It is unmarked but tested as Sterling. A lot of the early pins were not hallmarked and this is usual for this period.The box is for display only and is not included.I am happy to give a full refund if I have wrongly described an item Please Email before leaving feedback and I will be happy to resolve any issues.
