Hallmarked: "STERLING" (as oppose to much of the post WW1 "925" on USA made pieces). Above, has maker's mark of shield with crown on top. Maker is thus far, an old mystery mark (I'd be grateful for any extra info on maker (see other photos for marks). Based on it's smith workmanship, it could be anyw from 1800's up to WW1 era. Also, predates- military branch letters. It's either rare ot at least highly collectible. Has impressive raised detail. Has raised letter script: "PLURIBUS UNUM". Front measures alittle over 3/4 inch by alittle over 3/4 inch. Shank widths are 3/4 inch (upper), 1/2 and 1/3 inch (mid) and 1/4 inch (back). Ring looks impressive on most fingers. Ring is a size 9 but consider that right hand fingers tend to be alittle thicker than left hand fingers, (same principle applies in case left handed, of course). Like much of the older rings, it's very heavy. Weighs 15.6 grams. I polished it up some but I did not over polish due to alot of collectors prefer non-polished. Like all old pieces, has alittle normal wear which is to be expected. In excellent vintage condition. Would make a nice gift. Or, own it yourself and invest in this handsome ring and appreciate the compliments you'll get as it's antiquity
