Welcome to: ~ANTIQUE-ABLES~ Magazine-Newspaper Rack Table manufactured by Val-Kill Industries. Val-Kill Industries was a small furniture company founded in 1926 by Eleanor Roosevelt. Val-Kill industries employed a small handful of local artisans who manufactured Furniture, Pewter and Weavings up until its closing in 1936. The underside of the table top is stamped with the "Val Kill" name along with the artisans initials "A R N" and the number "23 M" (see pictures). It stands 22 inches tall and the table top measures 25 inches by 11 3/4 inches wide. The pieces are held together in early american fashion by the use of wood pegs instead of nails. The table is strong and solid but mentioned for accuracy it does have a few character adding cracks that run with the wood grain. One of these tight cracks is in the top as shown and is about 9 inches in length. T is also a small tight crack coming up from the base along each of the sides, these are each about 2 inches in length. Again, the table is solid and without damage other then what has been noted above, t are no dents, scratches or chips to the wood. For items that sell for $50.00 or less insurance is optional ,but required on those over that amount. However, if you choose not to insure your item and the rare event your item is lost or damaged, I will not be held responsible! Some items are charged the actual shipping costs but some may have shipping and handling fees included, based on packing materials, supplies ,destination etc. I always either provide a shipping amount or a shipping calculator so that you will know and have taken into consideration the shipping costs, prior to bidding. 3.
