Antique Art Glass Epergne Description: Lovely epergne is made of many different materials from glass, sterling silver, wood and a raw cut amethyst rock. Glass trumpet is blown of vaseline opalescent with a tri corner fold rim. The bottom of the stem on the vase is cut and polished, has a few chips on tip which can't be seen. Glass does have some water stains, as pics will show. No chips or hairline breaks. Glass does glow neon green under a black light. Wooden base has beveled edges. Not sure what kind of wood, does have a black stain. Wooden plaque does appear to have been hand carved. There is some fading within the stain and there one minor split on the wood plaque and there is some dings on the wood. Sterling silver stand has a center medallion with engraved initials RGRM, 1897 and attached the medallion is scrolls and center vase holder on top. The medallion is stamped on the top, with P&D (Pembrook and Dingley), Lions Passat, other symbol I can't make out and an anchor. Behinds the sterling silver is a raw cut purple amethyst rock that is attached to the wooden base. Underneather the silver medallion is a piece of folded paper that is wedged underneath the silver medallion. Not sure why it is there and I'm leaving it since that is how I found it. Can be removed, I'm sure . Measures 11-1/2" tall complete. Trumpet vase has a 3-1/8" diameter rim and are from 5-5/8" - 5-7/8" tall. The bowl has a 2-1/2" diameter rim.
