Up for auction: one unique vesta case in the form of a wolf's or bear's head, which has been a much disputed topic in our family over many years. Late 19th Century tobacciana made from brass with a great patina. In excellent condition except its eyes are missing, probably would have been small garnets or the like. The hinge is in excellent conditon and still shuts firmly. Note from the pictures the striker is under the chin down to the base.

Measures: 50mm long x 25mm deep.
