Features: This is a very nice antique (Victorian era 1880's to 1890's) heavy ring . Made of solid 14K gold with dome oval cabochon cut 100% pure natural jade jadeite gemstone (a more valuable jade stone compared to the more common nephrite jade stones). Also, has rare Asian sea pearls. Ring is considered rare . Has very impressive hand crafted late 1800's smith workmanship in a very eye catching design, having beautiful hand laced filigree heart shaped motif on each side of upper shoulder with beautiful raised rope mofit surrounding stone bezel with strung seed pearls surrounding bezel. Jade jadeite gemstone is of very excellent fine quality: Color emerald green with slight whitish flecks. As a jeweler, upon inspection, stone has NO signs of any sort of treatment . Jadeite jade gemstone is a little over 15.3 cts . For a 14K gold ring, it's heavy . Weighs: 10.5 grams . Ring came from our family heirloom's late 1800's jewelry collection. It was very well kept and in very excellent condition , (especially for ring this old) . Auction starting price is very reasonbly low, based on gold weight and very high jadeite jade gemstone market value, especially in a rare collectible fine jewelry product . Ring Size: Looks impressive on most fingers . Although ring is a size 7.5 , it should also fits size 7 without any significant shifting, based on this type of thick shank design. For those in other countires such as the UK , Ireland, and AU, size 7.5 is a size 0 1/2 and will also fit size O and size N 1/2. Also, consider that right hand fingers tend to be a little thicker than left hand fingers, (same principle applies if left handed). Ring can be resize by your local jeweler or provide ring guard which will go well with this type of shank. Measurements: Face of ring is 29.5 mm (1.2 inches) by up to 23 mm (nearly 1 inch). From where ring rest on finger top to top of stone is 10 mm as its inner arched mounting, lays very beautifully, once on finger . Upper shoulder heart shaped motif is up to 10 mm (little over 1/3 inch). Shank widths are about 2.9 mm (1/8 inch) and 2.7 mm in back. Jadeite jade gemstone is 23 mm by 16.5 mm with depth of approx 5 mm. Hallmark and Marks: Inside inner shank "14K" with symbol like mark too fade to decifer. Guarantee: Jadeite Jade stone was inspected by me and another jeweler and tested via refractometer as natural jadeite jade stone and as described or total refund . As a retired precious metals testing specialist for refinery, I re-assure that it will test solid 14K gold (as marked) or total refund. Prior to listing, I routinely test , regardless of what's marked. Would make a nice gift.
