Antique Victorian Beaded Needlepoint Terrier Dog with a Blue Ribbon around it's neck in a Wreath of Green Leaves on Red Needlepoint. It is a square that measures 16.25" x 16.25" and was formerly wrapped around a piece of cardboard. that measured 14.75" x 14.75". I decided to take it off the cardboard which gives you an extra 3-4". This scuffy puppy is begging (paws up) for a good home and needs to be made into a wonderful plump down pillow trimmed with great tassel fringe. The puppy is done in all beadwork in colors of black, brown, white, clear, tan, cobalt and he is peeking through an ivy wreath of greens with his paws. Puppy and wreath measure 11" x 10.5". The corners of the piece were glued together and wrapped around the cardboard, but the glue has dried over the years and looks like most of it will flake off. It is fabulous! 19th Century. The entire dog is done in beads which is rare to find. The leaves and background of red is in needlepoint. BEST IN SHOW
