What an exquisite heirloom turn of the century lavaliere. It is truly remarkable finely made piece of antique jewelry. This stunning Edwardian English 9 kt Rose Gold Amethyst Pendant has nine tiny seed pearls and two large amethysts or garnets. The center gemstone is 6.5mm and the drop gemstone is 4.5mm in size. Both are well matched in color. The Pendant weighs a total of 2.3 grams and is 2 1/4" tall including the bail and 1" wide. It is fully hallmarked 9C GOL, SBROS. The condition is excellent. There is a tiny 1mm repair on the left side at about 9 ' oclock. It does not detract from the beauty of the lavaliere unless your are looking for the tiny mark, and is more visable with a jewelers loop. Your jeweler can smooth over the lmm mark so it is not visable, if you go in to see him on other larger repair items you may choose to take this one in too and the charge should be minimual. The Rose Gold is a subtle rose gold color which you can wear with your favorite rose gold or maybe even try a delicate yellow gold chain. The gemstone is a medium violet color with a pink hue. All stones are original to this antique piece. Although It was said to be amethyst when I bought it many years ago, this color the purple/pink during the Victorian Era also lended itself to the Rhodolite Garnet.
