This is a really super diminutive mid victorian ca. 1840 - 1860 sewing stand in cherry with very early construction. Note the really nice turned center shaft and feet. Hand cut dovetails on the drawers and hand champd drawer bottoms. Early square nails and old hand made off center slotted screws are used as well as mortise and tenon construction. Secondary wood looks to be yellow pine wich would lend a southern attribution. Measures27.5'' high and the top is 16 1/8 by 16 1/8. Piece is in really super condition with no chips, cracks, and breaks. It is clean and ready to go in your house. A great small size and a very useful piece of early furniture. Great addition to a collection or to a period victorian parlor. Shipping is free in the lower 48, international can be quoted, and the bidding starts low with no reserve.
