~ Antique Victorian English Papier Mache' Desk Writing Folder ~ Beautiful Antique Victorian English Papier Mache' Writing Folder with Floral & Roses design ~ lovely frontpiece inlaid with Mother-of-Pearl floral design of Roses and Rosebud, flowers and leaves with highlights of pink/red & green on roses and leaves, and blue on little flowers ~ black leather spine with elaborately gilt floral decoration ~ interior lined with beautiful gilt decorative paper ~ interior flexible pocket for storing the inserted notebook, and other papers/letters. Wonderful antique Victorian English Desk Writing Accessory...beautiful for display, and use....earliest date listed in notebook is c.1852. Measures approx. 9" X 6" ~ notebook paper has some foxing; some crazing and minor spotting on papier mache' commensurate with age & usage ~ a lovely soft old patina!!
