Up for auction is this antique victorian era glass dome in excellent condition. The glass dome itself measures just a shade under 16" in height and the diameter of the base is 7 1/4". Around the bottom edge is some brown paper probably put t to protect the edge from chipping. Glass itself is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. T are some very lite minor scratches if one looks closely. I have lightly cleaned the glass but it will need a bit more cleaning from its new owner. The black wooden base measures 8 3/4" in total diameter and 1" in height. It has some scuffs and scratches in the paint. On the bottom side it appears to be missing its 3 round ball feet. Total height when together is 16 1/2". This item will be double boxed and I will require insurance. These original old glass domes are getting harder and harder to find.
