Gorgeous rare 1904 patented and marked, gold filled King Tut Egyptian revival locket by Wightman and Hough Co. (in operation from 1856-1922). The cover of the locket depicts a raised design with king tut. The hinge works perfectly, the locket opens from right to left and closes with a snap. Inside the locket is the W&H Co. maker's mark with their initials enclosed in a heart and the patent date Aug 02, 04. The company's motto was, "There's a heart in every locket." The locket is in excellent condition for it's age, light scratching on back, no dents or dings. I'm not sure of the gold content, it looks to be gold filled or 9k gold. It measures approximately 1" x 1.25" without the jump ring. What a lovely and rare piece! Please be sure to view photographs carefully in order to avoid errors. Many of the items I sell are vintage so please understand that they will not all be in perfect condition. Our goal is for your buying experience to be a pleasure.
