This is a Beautiful Antique/Victorian 1/12 12 K Gold Filled Round Locket with a genuine Diamond accent. The locket has a light matt finish. The locket measures approx. 24 mm. by 24 mm. or 7/8 of an inch by 7/8 of an inch not including the open hook. This locket is in wonderful condition for its age. This locket locks and closes well and has both original inner frames and plastic for the pictures. The locket has a Cartouche shield shaped Hallmark SKM Co. which stands for the SK Merrill Company out of Rhode Island, the company was in business from 1871-1915. I believe the locket is circa 1880-1890 and weighs 5.4 Grams, and is in excellent condition, the locket has been polished, but some tarnish still remains. The inside of the locket has what appears to be the number 20 scratched on the inside and perhaps the makers initials OD scratched on the inside of the opposite side of the locket.
