Talk about an unusual item!?! Victorian era salvage. May be mahogany. Fantastic ornate fretwork design of leaves, stem, & vine. No missing gaps in the fret. Each panel is deeply recessed within bevelled edges. The top arches give the piece a gothic feel. T are 3 round medallions in carved out triangles near top. At each top end is a carved swirl that goes with the swirling fretwork. T is a bracketed display rod(with ornate finials) in the center of the piece. Could be used in any number of ways, from towel bar,to quilt rack, to textile display. All along the bottom is a curved, crown molding trim. The piece is in excellent condition overall, with some surface chipping to the far right fretwork panel. It measures 40 inches long by 13 1/2 inches tall. The hanging rod measures 19 inches between brackets. Many other antique architectural items listed. All questions encouraged and answered. Oversized shipping cont US. $17
