It has been refinished by a Trunk Restoration expert who has personally refinished over 806+ trunks. ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~ The Perfect Flat Top Coffee Table Antique Trunk This trunk is from circa 1895.A perfect flat top trunk that would make quite an addition to any home. The old canvas was removed from the inside and outside, it was washed/scrubbed sanded and sealed between 3 coats. We left the sharp looking maroon/brown leather trim natural and sealed it. It has a perfectly working solid brass ornate lock and all the latches work like new. It has the original lidstay to hold the lid open. I added the thick leather handles like the originals. The tray is original with a side tray and is solid. The bottom was also refinished. Photos inside and outside Measures Size is 37" long and 27" wide and 13" high.
