RARE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN HEAVILY BEADED PURPLE SILK SHAWL WRAP SCARF TEXTILE This beautiful textile was designed as a shawl and must have been extraordinary worn as one, however it cannot be worn today as a shawl. It is just an amazing collector's piece - it could be placed on a mannequin for permanent exhibit or kept carefully in acid-free paper or framed. It is very heavily and beautifully glass-beaded purple and black crepe. The design of the beads follows the design on the fabric with a Greek key border and floral wreath interior. It has tears (see photos below) and is in very fragile condition. Silk fibers. Watch my ebay store for more exceptional silk scarves and shawls.
