ITEM DESCRIPTION -- ANTIQUE VICTORIAN Natural WICKER CHAIR Chintz Cushions This is a very attractive antique natural wicker chair. It has a low skirt in the front which adds to the silhouette, wide arms and a high back. It has its original metal springs seat (see photo) with old chintz cushions on the seat and the back (the back cushion has ties top and bottom). This lovely chair would make a very attractive addition to any decor and make an exceptional addition to a porch, patio or deck. Please any of the photos to examine items in detail . Age (ca.) c1900. The cushions are probably about 50 years old. Dimensions It measures 22" wide X 24" deep X 31" High to the top of the back. The seat is 18" high with the cushion and 14" high without it. Condition Good estate condition. The chair is sturdy with no repairs and it's very comfortable to sit in. T are decorative reeds on the underside on the each side -- these are decorative only. One has a split and needs a spot of glue. We looked over this chair very carefully and can only see one spot w a reed is missing - for 100+ year old wicker; this is very good condition! T is a frayed spot in the front right corner of the seat cushion which can be mended or these cushions could easily be recovered in a fabric of your choice. All our items are used or antique and, as such, have the normal amount of wear and tear that's commensurate with their age. Provenance This fine piece comes from a beautiful estate on Long Island's waterfront.
