Exquisite Antique Framed Portrait Miniature c1880 This auction is for one of three stunning antique portrait miniatures listed of beautiful ladies in period dress which come complete in original glazed frame. These are a truly unique and exceptional item that exudes class and elegance. The brushwork is fantastic and the proportions exact – this really is a wonderful work of art that is a must have for any collector or lover of period artwork. The paintings are signed and they are on thin wafer that was typical of the era. As you can see from the pictures the painting and frame is in great condition with only very minor age related wear. One of the frames (picture with the lady with the blue head band) has a tiny chip missing from the bottom left side. This is virtually unnoticeable when the frame is hanging. Both other frames are in great condition with no evident damage except for minor age related wear. The frames are dainty and intricate and original to the paintings within them. Forget-me-not flowers create the focal point on the beautiful brass detail that surrounds the paintings. This detail really completes this wonderful item.
