Antique Victorian Seed Pearl Gold Filled Mesh Bracelet 1884 Estate HeirloomThis breathtaking piece of Victorian jewelry comes from the "Grand Period" between 1860 and 1855. It is gold filled with rose gold accents on the central embellished locking plate. It is set with three genuine seed pearls that provide the focal point on the mesh bracelet. The condition is very good considering this is over 130 years old. One seed pearl shows age, and we are not sure if the safety chain was added at a later date. There is some soldering present at one end of the safety chain as shown, so please zoom in on the photos. This is definitely a piece to be cherished and would make a wonderful addition to your collection if you adore the Victorian period. It is very delicate on the wrist and understated, yet striking when worn casually or with evening wear. It is very difficult to measure because we cannot unhook the safety chain, but it is approximately 7 1/4" long by 3/8" wide. The hallmark is Pat. July 22. 1884 and is a mix of yellow and rose gold with base metals, "gold filled". It locks by sliding the one mesh end under the locking plate into the designated slots, so it is adjustable and can be sized smaller. It is just so beautiful and we are sure you will love it.
