Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!! Hello! I am clearing out all my sewing collection in the next weeks. I collected lots of sewing kits, thimbles, boxes, etc. My loss is your treasure! Have fun!!! $4.99 Start & No Reserve! I am offering a really old Beautiful Victorian sewing kit! T are three tools inside. T is a Gorgeous Pair of steel Scissors. They are marked Germany on one side and Rogers Bros. on the other side. They are still extremely sharp and work very well. They measure 3 1/2" long. T is a beautiful Sterling Silver Thimble with a Greek Key Design. It is marked Sterling Silver on the inside. T is the letter "S" inside a sheild that is barely visible inside the top. It is size 11. I believe it is a Simon's thimble. T are no holes and is perfectly round. T is a beautiful Mother of Pearl knife. Both sides are Mother of Pearl. The blade is very sharp and works well. One side of the blade has a beehive with a cross on top stamped on it. The other side has the words D.Peres Solingen Germany stamped on it. Still opens and closes tightly. It measures a little over 2 1/4" long closed and almost 4" closed. All three tools are in great condition!! The case is in need of some TLC. The inside is still nice though. The inside top is lined in a royal blue and the bottom is lined in a royal purple satiny lining. Outside the bottom is ok, the top is the most in need of TLC. The leather cover has become worn exposing the padding underneath. The back is still connected together but is also in need of TLC. I will leave any repairs up to the winner. All in all this is still a beautiful piece of sewing history and would display nicely opened. THIS SET WOULD MAKE A GREAT GIFT OR ADDITION TO YOUR SEWING COLLECTION.
