Antique Victorian Silk Skirt w/Train + Blouse 4 Pattern Antique Victorian Skirt & Waist Blouse Vacation Note**This auction ends Monday Night 4/5, I will be leaving for a vacation early Thursday AM 4/8. If item is paid for before Wednesday night 4/7, it will be shipped. If not then item will be shipped on my return Tuesday 4/13. The skirt is strong and usable, just needs a few repairs. The blouse has been added to this auction and being sold as pattern or salvage. The skirt has a velvet trim along the bottom with an over layer of pleated flounce. The flounce is trimmed on the bottom with a ruffle. T is a nice long train in back. Three cords are hanging from the top of the flounce in back. Not sure of their purpose, perhaps for lifting the train up. Closes in the back with a hook & eye. Condition is very good. T is a small seam separation on one seam, and a couple of very minor split/holes(not seen unless held up to the light). The waist band has had period repairs and is in need of more as t are larger splits in the fabric. (See closeup photos) Measures -25" waist, 40" long in front, 49" long in back. The blouse is silk with hook & eyes in front for closure. T are buttons on both sides for accent. Embroidered stitching accent the front shoulders and down the back. The neckline is trimmed with a peach embroidered gauze ruffle. Condition- The fabric is split and fragile, mostly around the neck and shoulders but some may be usable. Perfect for pattern. Measures approx. 21" long, 21" across underarm seam to seam Great for re-enactments. This was acquired in a lot with other Victorian clothing. I am always happy to combine shipping to save you money.
