Lion passant (the English sterling mark) to each and every solid graduated curb link. We also have the added bonus of a t-bar and an ornate fob with a raised empty shield cartouche to one side. There is an inscription to the other side (see pictures). This is a great heavy watch chain for your antique watch. Weighs in at a healthy 72.6 grams approx Measurements: 17 inches in length to the link of the fob. The chain on the fob is 1 1⁄2 inch approx.This is really a chunky chain with a great tactile feel to it...once you have it in your hand you will not want to put it down. Condition: In good antique condition with a great patina you only get on vintage and antique jewellery. Defects: A few surface scratches and a tiny bit of general wear – only to be expected on a piece of this age. Full English Hallmark for Sterling silver for the city of Chester, for the year 1903 on the T-bar. The fob is hallmarked Chester 1929. The dog catch is hallmarked Chester 1909.Good luck and !
