This is a beautiful Victorian Scottish silver and agate sword small kilt pin or large brooch.I have collected agates in Scotland for over 20 years and know where most of the lovely gemstones that Victorians used for their classic jewellery were found. The beautiful stones are classic orange Campsie Fells jasper from Stirlingshire and green bloodstone from the Isle of Rum.The handle has a beautiful ball of golden citrine from the Cairngorm mountain range. The brooch has no hallmarks ( does have stlg silver stamp ) which is fairly normal for pieces of this period and has been fully tested to confirm it is sterling silver.The length is 5.0 cm ( Two inches ) and the pin and C clasp are in good working condition and original.
