ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SLIDE CHAIN NECKLACE - GOLD FILLED w. HARD STONE CAMEO SLIDE Offered here is a wonderful 56" long Victorian necklace with a hard stone Cameo slide. The necklace is so bright that it looks like it's solid gold but it tested as gold filled. The slide has a white hard stone cameo of a lady with a head covering on an ornate gold filled setting. It could have been a watch chain at one time as it looks like the chain has had a small repair at one link - maybe where a hook was removed? It's very small and if it had been soldered instead of bent, we would never have known. It's quite secure and can be worn without worry but it's an easy enough repair to have it closed or to add a hook once again. I photographed it laying flat and then on a life sized mannequin so show a couple of possible ways to wear it - since it's 56" long, there are lots of possibilities.
