- Welcome - Offering at auction is this Antique Early Victorian Solid 10K Solid Gold Pocket Watch Chain Necklace with 9K 1836 Fob and 9K S Bros Clasp. Not Scrap. The chain is made of solid 10K gold; acid tested and guaranteed money back; the S. Bros. Clasp and Saint Gabriel's 1936 Christian Doctrine gold medal fob tested to be 9K. The S Bros clasp is a later add-on and can be removed via a faceted 10K jump ring that is not welded together. The rest of the double links chain features all soldier ed joints and end rings; I see no repairs but if I were going to use it I would have a jeweler put on stronger ends as they are worn. It weighs approximately 16 grams total; the chain without the fob weighs approx. 13.5 grams. It measures 18 inches without the clasp or fob. Both clasps are sturdy and function perfectly.
