This is a gorgeous Victorian Carved Solid Oak Sideboard/Buffet or Server dating to the 1890's. This piece is made from solid tiger oak wood and has beautiful graining, superb carvings and a lovely finish, which is original and in good condition for a piece of this age, showing only light wear. The sideboard has a beautiful carved backsplash and carvings on both doors. T are 2 hand dovetail jointed drawers and between the drawers t is what looks like a carved panel, but it is in fact a 'secret' drawer, it can be opened by releasing a latch accessible form the inside of the bottom drawer. Inside the 'secret' drawer it is felt lined and divided for storing silverware. The sideboard stands on a sturdy base with runners and stretchers and carved acanthus leaf legs. Inside on the left behind the doors t is a shelf and on the right t is the original bottle storage tray. Measurements: 60"Wide x 24"Deep x 47"High. This is a fine quality, high end antique sideboard, showing great attention to detail, a magnificent piece!
