This is a very pretty Victorian English sterling silver scent bottle that is hallmarked for Birmingham 1900, the maker's mark is somewhat over-polished, but it is for E S Barnsley. The silver is in excellent condition with no splits or repairs and no dents as such, just a VERY light bump on top of the lid that is GENUINELY barely noticeable. The gilding inside the top is clean and bright and the hinge is fine. The glass stopper appears to be the original and it is in good condition but a crack can be seen in the neck of the glass liner which is a shame really as the general look of the scent gives the impression that it has barely, if ever, been used. The bottle stands at 1 5/8" (4.1cm) tall and it weighs in at 16.8g. There are no monograms or inscriptions, nor have there ever been any.
