This listing is for an original antique statue, made circa late 1800s to early 1900's. It depicts a classical female clothed in robes, barefoot as if she were walking through a field, with flowers strewn in her hair, a bouquet of flowers on her right wrist, and holding a garland in her left hand. She has a Greek look to her as if she were sauntering through Elysian Fields, with flowing gold robes and hair gathered loosely in the back. She has a wistful look on her face and Roman features. It is made of metal, perhaps spelter, since it does not attract a magnet. It stands 10 1/8 inches tall and is mounted upon a circular hammered base that is 7/8 inch high and 4 1/4 inch in diameter. She is quite heavy, weighing 3 lbs and 15 ounces. The figure is cast and has crisp detail. It still has its original paint, which is worn in some areas. It is a very graceful and beautiful statue, and would make a lovely addition to any home with Victorian, neoclassical, romantic, shabby chic, Art Deco, or Art Nouveau styling. Condition On the bottom back there is a small hole where the lamp wire was strung. Some of its original paint, which is gilt and flesh toned, has chipped read more
