Antique Victorian Staffordshire Fairing Inkwell Dog 19C

Description:
Up for auction is a wonderful odl piee of Victorian Staffordshire. This is a double inkwell and on the incredibly detailed lid, t are 2 little children and a dog. The color is great and the base has blue decoration with gold trim. Condition is good considering the age. The only damage to note is the little tail on the dog is missing and it looks like a very clean break. T is a mold line on the top rim of the base and another one on the underside of one of the holes. These are all shown in the pictures. T are no inserts for the ink, but its a great display piece, and unless you specifically look at the dog's behind, you don't even notice that his tail is gone becuase t is so much other stuff to see on the top. It is just under 5 inches high, almost 5 inches wide and 3 inches deep.
