A trunk is one of the finest gift you can give a loved one, because a trunk is an heirloom gift which is passed on to several generations. Trunks add charm to homes with it's magical history behind them, as well as the beauty they display. ~HUGE~ 37" Length X 23" Width X 26" Height Belber Trunk & Bag Company Est. early 1900's produced High Quality Steamers, With Hangers, Ironing boards, Shoe Box. Belber traveling bags & Trunks Famous for t collapsible hangers, made of rope. Up for auction is a Beautiful Antique Flat top with simi curved sides. It has been Refinished. The Old Canvas was removed to expose the Beautiful Wood underneath. We applied 3 coats of clear high quality polyurethane and sanded in between coats for a smooth surface. It has Beautiful Wood grain Oak Outer slats going Horizontal. It has 5 wood slats on top 3 on front, 3 back, 3 sides. A Total of 17 Oak Slats i do not come across these often. 1 maybe 2 a year. The slats are thicker than most trunks. The Lock, is unmarked. Sorry no Key. The Hasp have builtin lid lifts and they open & close securely. The Inside was left original. I added a Beautiful reproduction Print inside the lid Of a victorian boy standing on a Jenny Lid Trunk playing a flute as a little girl plays with her doll. This trunk is in excellant shape. Strong and solid. All the Nails were hand painted with a high quality brass paint. All the hardware was hand painted with a High gloss rust proof black paint. I do not get many trunks that have black hardware. I mainly get ones that have brass hardware. The trim was painted with a rust proof black paint. It has its original Lid Stay to hold the lid open when lifted, securely. The handles Are New reproduction Thick Black Leather Handles with Star embossed end caps. T is not many stress cracks. On the bottom it has 4 wheels that move with ease.I Put alot of effort into making even the bottom beautiful. So t is no worry about a rusty bottom on a nice carpet. Solid & Sturdy a well built trunk. Shipping & Payment Shipping rate for within the 48 States $95 Due to being a oversize 3 package. Shipped: Ground - insurance is free no matter what the bid. Signature upon delivery will be required. Shipped in Boxes with Foam wrap for protection.
