It has been refinished by a localTrunk Restoration Professional who has personally refinished over 735+ trunks. That's Experience! Very Pretty Victorian Trunk Up for auction is a Large Dome 35"L X 25"W X 291/2" H refinished, dome barrel top trunk from the late 1800's. She has a Embossed Blackberry metal covering that is in excellant condition. T are an amazing 22 slats on this trunk the most we have seen. Typically the most is 17 and most dome trunks do not have side slats on the handle side like this one does. 5 beautiful grained oak slats on top. 5 vertical slats on the front. 3 slats on each side, 4 on back. 2 bottom. The hardware is intact & all original it has a metal band running vertical down the center. The hasps have built in lid lifts to help open the lid. The lock Is a Eagle Co. Lock #29 with original #29 hollow barrel key. It locks and unlocks just fine. New thick black leather handles were added. It has the original embossed end caps. The inside lining was stripped and it was scrubbed clean and sealed. AVictorian print was added" Victorian couples racing Horse drawn sleighsin a winter wonderland Scene. The bottom was also refinished so have no worries about placing her on a fine carpet. She has 4 working caster wheels to help move her with ease. This trunk is a must have.
