This is a really neat pair of antique sterling silver earrings. I'm not sure of the exact age or purpose, but since they open and have holes it may suggest that they were used for scents. Someone also suggested that diamonds or gems could be kept in them? Each is hallmarked sterling and the closure is secure on each. Any questions or suggestions are welcome.
