We are very pleased to offer this Antique, American Victorian, solid golden oak, dining table dating to about 1910. Just imagine the tales it could tell! Compliment your tasteful decor with Victorian Dining Table. It could be the perfect focal point to accent your room. It's absolutely wonderful.....great stature, well detailed, beautifully proportioned and made of solid quartersawn oak (not veneered). This table measures 42" square by 28 ¼"" high. The top is solid ¾" thick oak planking and exhibits the most amazing grain. The 3 5/8" high skirt/apron has ogee shaped edging(see photos) that speaks to its Victorian era. It was constructed with five extremely massive legs. Each one approx. 4 ½" in diameter. These legs have gorgeous turned and reeded fluting (see photos). Outstanding craftsmanship throughout! This exceptional solid oak piece would look excellent in a Victorian, turn of the century, Country French, Eclectic, Traditional or Modern day decor. Whether your intentions require it to be a dining or breakfast table, it will take its' place as a focal point in your room, we think this outstanding piece will serve you well. As with any piece of a bygone era, we expect to see some evidence of use. We accept these blemishes as a testimony of its authentic antiquity. Overall it has made it to our generation with a minimum of degradation, in reasonable condition and appears to have its' original finish. T are some age/stress cracks in several of the legs and two missing wood slivers (see photos). Originally made to accept extension leaves, they are no longer with the table. T is a small chip out of the inside of one of the legs, but it is not very noticeable. It just needs a little TLC to make the wood on the legs come back to life...the table top is in exquisite condition. If you love the Victorian era (as we do) you'll be thrilled with its' detail and style. It's our hope that this slice of history will find you and your heirs as its caretakers for the coming decades. Extreme dimensions are: 42" x 42" Wide and 29" High. This item is located in Seabrook, Texas. Thank you for your time in review and consideration. All questions answered promptly. Happy eBaying and Good Luck!
