Antique Statue Clock Wow! This auction is for a very rare and very rare antique statue mantel clock. The clock was made in France and it has a great nautical theme. The porcelain dial measures about 3" wide but the case is much larger. T is a boy that appears to be coming to shore with his sail boat in the background. At his feet t are boards and waves, and at the very bottom t is a really nice Victorian scroll and basket weave pattern. Just an amazing piece and very well made. The back of the movement reads 1855 Medaille D'Argent Vincenti & Cie, which is a high end clock maker in the mid to late 1800s. The clock includes the pendulum and key and seems to be in solid condition, but it will not start. Additionally, the dial has some chipping on the left and I believe it has a glass cover at some point. The boy is holding a stick, but I think it was an oar at some point and that has broken off. It is a piece of metal that slides in and out of his hand, so it would be easy to fix. Just a great piece! Guaranteed old and original! Measures about 14" wide and 13" tall. Great piece!
