Antique Victorian Walnut and Marble 3 piece Bedroom Set

This item is being relisted due to a nonpaying bidder. For auction is an outstanding victorian three piece bedroom set in the renaissance revival style. The set is made from walnut and has panels of burled walnut. Additionally, the washstand and dresser have white marble tops. The scale of this set is great and can fit into most rooms without hitting the ceiling. The set was owned by only two families and was purchased in 1878. The tag on the bed indicates athe it was made by the phoenix furniture company of Grand Rapids Michigan. The dimensions of the bed are approx. 81" long, 58" wide, and about 88.5" tall. A new mattress and box spring was purchased for the bed a few years ago and is included in the sale if desired. The rough dimensions of the mattress are 75.5 inches long by 53 inches wide. The dresser is a drop well dresser with white marble tops. T are no cracks to the marble and the mirror is in excellent condition with no silver loss. The approximate dimensions of the dresser are 43" wide, 20" deep, and 85.5 " tall. The washstand has a marble top and a backsplash which was often removed. The approximate dimensions of the washstand are 31.5 inches wide, 16 inches deep, and 39.5 inches tall. T are no cracks to the marble top. Both the dresser and washstand have sandwich type glass pulls. I believe the original pulls may have been the teardrop style, but in my opinion these look much better. Furthermore, teardrop style pulls can be easily purchase at an antique show. The pieces retain their original finish. All pieces are on casters. The bed has heavy duty casters as shown in the picture. To the buyer I will also throw in the ironstone pitcher and basin set shown in the pictures. Please note: due to the size, this set must be picked up in Waterford, MI 48329. I can assist in lifting the items, but safe loading is the buyers responsibility. The mirror detaches from the dresser, and the bed breaks down into four pieces. PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE LARGE PIECES. PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP WITH A PICKUP TRUCK OR SPORT UTILITY AND EXPECT THE ENTIRE SET TO FIT. A good faith deposit of 200 dollars is required within 5 days of auction completion.
