Responsible bidders welcome! PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO PURCHASE THIS ITEM. Item must be paid for or arrangements made for payment within 3 days of auction end. Thanks! This charming old vienna bronze piece depicts a tiny black cat holding a sandwich board sign, on front it reads "With Best Wishes" on front and back. Kitty retains much of original paint and has wire whiskers, and at least one good yello eye, red nose and mouth. Just barely over 3/4" tall, I am selling his pal, a tabby cat bronze also holding a sign, separately, shown below, but this auction is only for the little black cat bronze. Comes right out of my personal collection of VB cats which contains only authentic late 19th/early 20th Century cold painted bronze items, the originals and absolutely guaranteed to be so! I hate to part with it, but am trying to raise money to pay bills that accrued during the illness of our beloved companion, a brave and brilliant cat who lost his battle to lymphoma recently. My pictures do not do it justice. No markings, which is quite common for these pieces. The old examples are nearly impossible to find and are so much nicer than the sloppily done reproductions which sport gaudy paint jobs and much less fine detail. I have other tiny bronzes I will be listing. I am asking no reserve and my opening bid is much lower
