All clocks shipped within 5 days of receipt of payment (guaranteed) A beautiful colossal size 1870-1880 Vienna Regulator 3 train (spring wound) clock. It was sold to me described as a gallery clock, however a friend of mine said that in Vienna, they had very large fireplaces back then, and this would be the sort of clock that would be part of that fireplace. I purchased it from the dealer who acquired it from the couple who brought it over from Austria. The movement is signed 'Ferd Wawra' - 'Wien' right on the front. It strikes grand-sonnerie on a pair of gongs and has a little pendulum that swings inside. The brass dial has a beautiful carved pattern in the center surrounded by roman numerals. The hands are beautifully cut and have been 'blued' and are just another sign of the quality craftsmanship inside and out. I'm listing it as an 8 day clock however I'm pretty sure I've had it run for two weeks on a single winding. As I wind my clocks on Sundays whether they need it or not, I cannot remember for sure. I am certain that it has run for 10 days several times..... T are no other holes that would indicate that another movement was ever in it. It appears to be all original.
