Up for sale one vietnamese bronze statue of a dancing woman.Age ? Would only be a guess. Judging by the patina of the piece, i would guess its at least over a 100 years old and may be more.I obtained at an estate sale and was told by the owner that her son obtained it while in active serviceduring the vietnam war and he found it while in the field. she did not remember what area he got it in or what year but she did remember he said he had to lug it a long way and was thinking of tossing it, but changed his mind. Good for me! I guess weighing near 5 pounds and all the otherstuff he had to carry and in that heat, he must have really like it.T is no damage to the piece however, t appears to be a piece that was screwed into the top of her head that is missing but doesn't take away from the piece you really can't tell anything goes t unless you look directly from the top. No dents, cracks, or even a scratch. It also looks to have casting material left inside the base? or maybe he found it buried and didn't clean it out.i don't know? I do know its a really nice bronze,with a rich wonderful patina.And not a spelter/white metal copy,and well worth carrying it around in a 100 degree + jungle. But you don't have to just carry it to your display area.This has a lot of nice detail and a real eye catcher.Ask any questions you may have before you bid please.weight is 4 and 3/4 lbs. height 12 1/4" arm spread is 8 5/8" base is 4" I INCLUDE SUPER SIZED PHOTOS SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT YOU ARE GETTING WITH OUT ANY SURPRISES Thanks for looking!
