Hard to give up! Brand new 22 inch silver chain ALONE was originally 49.99. The price tag still attached. Both items were purchased seperately. The pendant is not with original chain. The chain is perfect for the old pendant!! Awesome old Butterfly Wing pendant, 1924 made in England. The picture of this bird on a branch with a black background and also the beautiful colors were very hard to capture with a camera, it's hard to see how beautiful and iridescent it is. Guess these pictures were made of actual butterfly wings under a dome-like clear glass or glass-like material. The pendant itself measures 3/4 in. X 3/4 in. In very good shape with some light tanish on the back and the silver that frames the picture. All of which adds to the beauty of this old pendant. Good luck!!! Speaking from experience... it is always a good idea to bid right away on an item you are really interested in and bid the most you are willing to pay for it. eBay only uses the amount of money up to your limit that is needed to win the auction. You will have a better chance of winning that item. Lots of people wait to bid, most of them forget. Sometimes the auction ends at an inconvenient time and you miss out!Most of my items (but not all) are purchased at Estate sales, Flea markets, Second hand stores. Tfore, I do not know the history of the item. Or if it is in fact, authentic. I can only go by what I find when I research it on the net, or by my books. If it has been repaired I will not know unless it has been disclosed or is obvious. I usually do not purchase items that are cracked or broken, unless I believe it could be repaired by the buyer and is worth the effort. I will disclose that, along with a picture, in my description. If I should miss something on a piece, it is not intentional. Please let me know if t is a problem.
