This is a great old alarm horn made by Acme Whistle sometime in the early 1900's. It is called the Acme Siren. Acme was famous for their police whistles and is still in business today. This horn would have been used to alert people in a building of a fire or other emergency or even by a policeman on his beat. This is leather wrapped and is in extremely good condition. Just one small nick in the black paint inside the horn. This sounds just like the sirens on the old police cars of the early days. The harder you blow the higher the pitch raises. This is about 7 inches long and 3-3/4 inches in diameter at the horn opening. The leather strap allows it to be carried on the wrist or worn around the neck. Just a great piece of history in remakable condition! Shipping weight will be 11 ounces. Thanks for looking and please Check out my other items !
