This is a very rare and beautiful double sided lighted exit sign. It appears to have been made in the 1920s or 1930s as near as I can tell by the electrical sockets. I can't find another one anywhere on the web to compare and be sure. It is very nicely made steel box construction with a hinged cover on one side. Made for ceiling mounting. Textured red glass panels on both sides. There are scuffs and scratches as seen in the photos, but also a nice patina, so I decided to simply wipe it off rather than repainting it. No dents or loose parts. This was removed from a California National Guard Armory during a remodel in 1992, and stored until now. The wiring has been replaced, and the fixture works perfectly. New bulbs are included. Size is 14-1/4" x 8-1/4" x 4" not including top canopy. This would look great as an ornament or maybe even mounted on a ceiling fan. This will be extremely well packed, insured, and shipped free to the 48 states. I can fabricate a custom adapter for mounting this fixture to a ceiling fan for a small charge. Just ask. Thanks for looking. Questions welcome.
