Up for auction is an Antique, Euro 4.5 Volt Battery, Lighted Horse and Rider Under a Lamp Post Light. Battery not included. This is a very unusual piece. Overall height of this piece is approximately 7 3/4 inches high to top of lamp post, base measures 3 3/4 by 2 3/4 inches and has a sliding wooden bottom which when pulled back allows the insertion of the battery. T is a switch on the top of the base that allows the light to be turned on and off. T has been bondo type repairs to the hindquarters of the horse and one of the joints on the lamp post. T is some minor red paint loss to the rider's coat as shown in the pictures and some paint loss on the horse but do to the age and color of this piece they are not at all noticible. A very helpful gentleman provided me with a bulb and tested the piece to see if it work (it does). The details on this piece are impressive, from the riders face to the horse's face, to the muscles on the horse's body. The rider is even holding a riding crop in her right hand which has survived over the years. Metal reins are attached to the front of the rider. It seems that everything on this piece is metal except for the sliding wooden piece of the bottom of the base. T are no makers mark on this piece. What a great addition to any collection. Hard to find pieces like this are becoming harder to come by, especially in this condition. I tried to clean this piece up a bit but was afraid that I would ruin the condition.
