Antique Vintage Blacklock #7 Sad Flat Iron Collectible Description Being offered for your consideration is a great old Sad Iron. This is a Blacklock #7 Sad Iron. Size is about 6" long by 3 7/8" wide by 4 1/2" tall, and quite heavy at 6 lbs. The overall condition is very good on this old iron. One of the best features is the raised lettering on the handle. There are no cracks or splits but is definately showing it's age, on the right side of the handle, has a dimple (1/4") recess mark. Now there is some pitting, rust, and discolorations. To be expected on an Antique iron. May need a gentle cleaning to suit the new owner. The good news is, it is still a great example of the old time irons, our grandmothers used, and grew up with. So if you collect the old real Sad Irons, this would be a great one to get. Please use the super sized photos for details and actual condition. Thanx...for looking.
