I purchased in Maine at our local auction, 5 large boxes full of antique buttons and I mean some of the most amazing buttons I’ve ever seen….sadly, I don’t know a thing about buttons, so I’m going to do my best at describing them to you but please if I miss something let me know and I’ll be glad to correct / clarify it for you. Condition - again, I am not a button expert but I purged everything that I thought is an imperfection; however I hate to do it because what I think might be an imperfection you may not. Let’s see how the first few listings go, and if you want to give me some suggestions I would love it! This particular listing is for: This is a huge lot of some very, very old pearl buttons….you will be very happy with these pretty buttons…they’re in great but dirty condition and need a good cleaning…but you’ll love all of them I PROMISE!! I only see one with an imperfection other than normal aging/wear, I think anyway, sometimes these old ones have imperfections in the actual shell...so who knows for sure...its one of the two matching large ones in picture number 2, on the edge...but, it still looks pretty and I don't think you'll care about it....the box looking one, not sure what that is to be honest has just a small round hole that does not go all the way through on one side. For size reference, the largest ones are almost 1 1/4" round.
